Today, we quite frankly footballed Q.P.R (a side that haven't lost away in ages) off the park. For the first 15/20 minutes or so, the long ball game that we seem to employ come rain or shine, again failed to trouble Rangers, and it wasn't until we started getting the ball on the deck (thanks to Hammill and Andranik) that we started causing problems. A few shots whizzed by the QPR goal, and finally we got the breakthrough. A great bit of play by the impressive Hammill sent Mifsud down the line, the little terror cut inside before delivering a peach of a cross that found Bogdanovic leaping to direct a brilliant downward header across Cerny and into the net.

QPR's one real attack resulted in a well worked goal, with some poor marking contributing to the overall sum. A cool delivery by Alberti was met by the stooping header of Delaney who powered the ball past the despairing Muller, who did well to even get an hand to it.

The Reds didn't lie down and die, and again came back strongly. And just before the break a goal mouth scramble resulted in the ball falling to Anderson who made no mistake at the second time of asking, as he smashed the ball into the bottom corner of the net. 2-1.

The second half was simply a joy to watch. For once, the midfield played some truly terrific football and on top of that, battled fiercely to make sure that we almost always were in the ascendancy. QPR never really looked like getting the equaliser. All the team played very well in my opinion, but the midfield today was immense. With no JCR playing, we never really had ONE real outlet, and each and everyone of the foursome looked to get the ball down and play neat and tidy football, with Hammill simply destroying QPR until he began to tire. If he'd have finished that marauding run off with a goal, it would've been simply awesome. Anderson/Colace and Andranik in the middle were just top drawer and again, were simply brilliant to watch.

Mifsud and Bogdanovic look to be clicking now and some of the touches/movement was excellent. Mifsud was again unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. Top stuff.

A scoreline of 4-1 would have been justified. Davey will have some big BIG decisions to make when Moore and JCR return to the fold. Hmmm...

    Great stuff.

    COME ON YOU REDS!!!
