    If I were a manager the first thing I'd sort out (and not rest until it was sorted) would be the defence. Get that right and your midfield and strike force can nick you some results. Fail to sort it and it doesn't matter what midfield/attack do. FFS, it's a simple game!

    So simple its the midfield that is the problem....

    The fact that not one of them knows how to tackle invariably leaves our defenders under abnormal pressure. Pressure which will eventually give way.

    I am completely with wilson but his insistance on 433 is leaving it hard for me to defend him unfortunately

    Take your point Nez, but FFS, when the midfielders have melted away, the backs surely have to offer more resistance?

    George Graham did just that

    he made sure that his teams defence was almost water tight then thought about the rest

    I agree but at the same time it's near enough impossible to build with a solid back 4 with the amount of injuries we have meaning we've got kids & players out of position in the back 4
