Great performance and brilliant entertainment today, really enjoyed it.

does anyone know what the rule is regarding whether their man should’ve been sent off for the foul on Bassi. I appreciate he went on to score but had he not, it would have been a straight red and I’m not really sure why the ref didn’t / couldn’t send him off.

if he goes down he has to send the man off but he was clearly been fouled did well to stay on his feet and put it through keepers legs.

How he didnt get motm with 1assist and 2 goals ill never know. Great performance.

Not sure this ref would have even given the foul the way he performed second half

I know it was after boro fans sang your not fit to referee then from that moment on he should have just put a boro shirt on.

He’s been a fantastic signing. Technically he is so good on the ball.

Both him and Quina are changing our season.

Red card is for denying a goalscoring opportunity. Thing is he scored.

Yes but he should still have had a yellow.

Genuinely don’t know what the law is on it, seems a bit odd that you could get a red in a situation where there’s play on for a dangerous foul, then a goal, but not in this situation

I seem to remember a few years ago, we were in a similar position away at Hull City. Steve Foster fouled one of their players in the build up to a goal for Hull. The referee awarded the goal and then sent off Foster.
Blimey, it was 11 years ago!!
