Probably one of the more disturbing programmes to be show on TV, even if it is on a digital channel.

People are shown how the animal you re about to eat gets to the plate.

    Tonight's episode is Beef!

You see the animal slaughtered, butchered and cooked. Then the audience get to eat it.

Anyone going to check it out?

    My thought's entirely

People know what happens and I assume that the programme makers know this also, but want to SHOW everybody the actual series of events leading up to the Sunday roast.

Most people prefer to keep their head in the sand about such matters.

My view is that I don't eat what I wouldn't be prepared to kill myself.

    No

To be honest I am fairly well aware of what happens to animals before they get to the plate.

I have no wish to watch all the graphic details. It's just a ploy by the veggie brigade to make people feel guilty.

Better not let Laura watch it,

she's already wanting to become a vegetarian. Problem is she still doesn't eat a great deal so it would be even more difficult to provide a diet to give her all the nutrients etc. she needs.

I work on the theory of bartering of services

    It's how we have developed.

So I use my skills to earn money, and use that money to buy the services of others (e.g. butchers)
