    Wimbledon v Liverpool.

Well done on that. Tie of the round.

    But Arsenal v Hull? Why?

Blame the channel controllers. We didn't want the Arsenal-Hull game - none of us - it's not even a decent PL game, ffs! Fought tooth and nail for Dover-Palace, but the Big Controller didn't want that in the BBC1 slot. All the 'cup magic' and goodwill built up in rounds 1 and 2 undone in an instant. Not happy bunnies here....

So as predicted they go with PL teams. Rubbish.

This was the BBC's chance to do the FA Cup justice. We've had to put up with ITV's awful and obvious coverage for years. Yet here we are, with a match between two Prem clubs that'd be lucky not to be last in the MOTD running order.

Don't have a problem with Arsenal - Hull as it's got the revenge angle & last season's cup final between them was a brilliant game.

Everton - West Ham is crap though.

Is Accrington / Yeovil v Man Utd on at all? That should be fun, Di Maria, RVP, Mata & Rooney at one of them two grounds

The best football game I've ever seen live on the telly, between teams I didn't really care about, was when Sutton United beat Coventry 2-1 in the third round of the cup. It must have been on the BBC because Motty was commentating. I still remember the major incidents: Sutton manager Barry Williams smoking his pipe in the dugout throughout the game, Brian Kilcline and that amazing tash heading Tony Rains' header from a corner in to the back of his own net, Matthew Hanlan volleying a cross from a short corner in to the back of the net for the winner, then sprinting up the line in celebration faster than he'd ever run in his life before, Cyrille Regis missing from a yard, that amazing passage of play when the ball bounced on top of the Sutton bar came down on the line for Steve Sedgley to volley it in but it hit the post and then the bar, coming off the woodwork at angles that have never been seen before or since. Muddy pitch, folk crammed in to a tiny ground, it was brilliant. Can't understand why the BBC don't want more of that. It probably won't happen, but if it does, and it will do one day, the BBC should be there for us all to see it.

BT Sport usually tend to be where the better cup matches get shown rather than the BBC which tries to be an extension of Sky Sports premiership coverage.

I'll not say I told you so :)

To be honest the game I was most interested in watching is Liverpool against Wimbledon (after our potential game of course) so I'm happy regardless.

100% agree that this is the right game to televise.

No excuse at all for showing this. A certain BBS poster might want to comment.

Is that me? I have. We're as pissed off as you, I can assure you. Even the Gooners in the department can't believe we're being forced to show this. Crass decision by people who've paid zero attention to what's gone before. I can only apologise, even though it's completely out of our hands.

That's why footballs sold its soul. The FA Cup at this stage should show the lower/non league teams and let them generate some coin. Not continue to fill Arsenal/Hulls coffers. Round 4 onwards when there's little or no lower teams left then that's fair enuff, as the ones that have survived will be on anyway!
