    The striker, who has had a scan on his broken metatarsal, has been told he will not discover when he can resume training for another three weeks. </p>

    Rooney's club, Manchester United, confirmed the 20-year-old will require another scan on 14 June to determine when he can start training again. </p>

    If Rooney gets the all-clear then, he would have 10 days to get himself fit for a potential last 16 knockout game. </p></font></td></tr></tbody></table></p>
