Well, the group stages are out of the way and we can start to see how it all pans out. For me the highlight of this round (other than the England game, obviously) is today’s game between Germany and Sweden, with a Germany v Argentina quarter final also standing out. I think England will get to the semi past Ecuador and Holland before going out to Brazil again, setting up a very promising Argentina v Brazil final, which Galtieri’s lot will win.

    Or not.

Aslong as the French or Germans don't win it.

    Are you doubting my prophecy?

Blasphemer! Have faith. Argies to beat the Boys From Brazil in the final. Monster.

    So they'll be beaten by . . .

    . . . Ghana, Spain or France?

Spain look like the only one of those that could do it on performances to date but they're renowned for crumbling at major tournaments and Brazil, well, they're not.

Brazil look appalling , I think they will struggle with Ghana.

As the Ghana players seem to be able to run whereas 60% of Brazils cant.

A bit of composure and Japan would have had 5 in the 1st half.
