I have got our 4 today for next season along with 2 friends joining us. How many season tickets will the BBS group buy.
0 that`s a loss of 2 maybe you should have left 0 out and put in -1 to -8 for a better view of what`s happening on the ST front.
I am sure all those who are turning their backs on the team next season will still be on here moaning about everything & anything
Of course how else will you be able to moan about them or is BBS membership reliant on having a BFC season ticket.
They're turning their backs on the owners, not the team. I'll send you a better fan badge in the post though.
I've had a season ticket since 97/98. Often gone to 15+, away games. Two occasions I've done all 46 games. I haven't attended since November despite having a season ticket. Im not renewing, I will never be pleased to see us lose, hope we bounce back at the first attempt next season. I plan to attend some away games next season. I object to the ownerships running of the club and the model for the paying for the purchase. The owners have cut off all contact with the fans and refuse to engage. As such I will withdraw my financial support from he club, not my support of Barnsley FC. If you and others are comfortable continuing to out your money into the club then that's very much your choice and I respect it.
Dunno about that. A bloke behind me on Saturday was constantly berating the team from the Ponty, particularly in the second half when we were so deep in our half and under intense pressure. Constant digs at the players and going on about 'they'll definitely score here and we definitely won't score...' This went on for about 15 minutes; no support for the players, no hope (I know the players weren't helping matters but you don't need a constant, negative commentary from a bloke in the stands) - just a premonition that we were bound to concede, and he was right. Then the inevitable: the goal conceded. Cue: 'see, it's what we've all been on about all game.' This was a false claim, only he had been on about it around us. Then the sweet relief of being right for him - 'i told thi.' Then he turned his attention to Poya, in some fake sympathy for the players, and started criticising the tactics (which I agreed with). There was a weird smugness in his tone after we conceded, call it gallows humour or whatever, but i think he placed his satisfaction in being right (and conceding) over encouraging the players to hold on for the win. He would have been better placed criticizing the owners. Some people want the 'best fan' badge for being right when we are on our arse. Quite sad really. I bet his type go all quiet when we are doing well because they can't handle the positivity.
True, I think some people are just confused over who to blame. I think people like the guy on Saturday need to step back and take a deep breath sometimes, but for him there was an element of panto - he was the actor and the small section of the Ponty was his stage.
Interestingly as it stands about 75% of BBS'ers and their friends/family are getting season tickets next season. From reading other threads, you'd think that number would be much lower.
Around where I sit, it's all Jordan Williams' fault. I'm starting the Jordan Williams fan club for next season.
That's social media for you. it's extreme and on here isn't any different Archey. Speak to people especially the older ones in the west stand and they don't understand what the fuss people are making.
I think you can still phone in to radio sheffield and have a moan about a game you haven't been to having listened on the radio
There's been blokes like that at Oakwell for as long as I can remember. And the fact that we were doing well never stopped them.
not quite right that is it. I’ve put 0. This season I ended up paying for 6 season tickets and if I were going next year would have certainly been paying for 4. So you need numbers against the minus to judge. Now 45% not buying them assuming they are currently Season Ticket holders that’s a pretty significant number.
I’m planning on going to as many away games as possible to avoid giving the current owners my money. If I get entertained I will offer praise if it’s pretty poor fare I will say so.
