BBS Player of the Season Evatt is a **** Edition

Very good team performance in the main.

Defensively fragile and the goal conceded was pretty poor but overall we played well. The subs changed the game though which creates as many questions as answers for Clarke.

pines played well I thought. DKD did well and his goal was beautiful. But I’ve gone for Phillips. He drifts in and out of games but makes the difference.

 

Gone for Pines. Think he saved Killips skin a bit. Was absolutely dominant in the air, won everything.

MDG was decent enough first half, but was excellent that second half. Really impressed.

Mccarthy, thought he played well too, such a shame he had goal disallowed. Got beat for their goal but was solid enough I think and was a danger from corners.

 

I've gone for Pines, but special mentions for Connell, Phillips & DKD.

 

Big improvement all round the pitch, but you have to stop them scoring, and I thought Pines was a different beast to his recent performances, led the back line superbly and won almost everything especially from the corners they had.

 

Thought all the back three played well. Pines shaded it with his aerial superiority.

 

I thought Phillips was excellent, his passing is really good, able to switch play to the other side of the park with ease.
MOM for me, but others ran him close.

 

Surprised I’m the first to go for MDG. Thought he put in a great performance today.

 

Pines was colossal but Phillips got a goal and an assist.

I mean other than score and assist what does he do…

 

Tough one because we were strong all around. Went for McCarthy. He’s had a pretty tough experience during his time at Barnsley and it’s great to see him making a fist of the opportunity that has finally come his way
