Well that’s a had game to capture in words. 70 minutes of pretty good football interspersed with some quality goals then a final 20 as bad as bad can be. Anyway DKD for me. We needed him to step up and he has.
Roberts played really well, but it's hard to vote for a defender when we've conceded 3, so DKD for me.
Once again it’s a tough call between Robbo and DKD. Another good showing also by Humphrys and a mention also for Smith, feeling for him after doing not wrong with any of the Lincoln goals. Chose Robbo for my mom.
DKD. Amazing the difference of buying a player for actual money versus 12 mediocre moneyball signings from non-league.
DKD was going to be my choice but I don’t think we’d have ended up winning without Robbo so went for him
I think yesterday showed that Nwakali should not be ahead of Luca when he’s available. Nwakali went missing when he was needed.
DKD was absolutely outstanding. Honourable mentions - Humphrys looks like he's getting back to his best. He's obviously very talented but has taken a lot of stick recently for perceived lack of effort. It sounds like he's not been fully fit for a while due to illness and injury. Hopefully for the rest of the season we'll see the player who first arrived here as when he's on song he's a real threat. Robbo - superb once again despite the defensive collapse on the final few minutes. Earl - gets a lot of stick on here, mostly unfairly in my opinion. Not that quick and can get caught out of position occasionally. However, he brings a lot to the side from an attacking point of view. Very skillful for a big defender and always tries to use the ball when in possession rather than hoofing it. This can leave him exposed but he also sets up a lot of attacks. Got outpaced by Hackett for their 3rd, but Hackett is very pacey. If Earl was that quick he'd probably not be playing in the 3rd tier for us.
Tough call between DKD and Roberts for me. Went with DKD as there's no doubt in my mind we wouldn't have won without him, that's not to diminish the importance of Roberts' efforts but I think the goals were the deciding factor. Honourable mention for Earl who I thought was back to something approaching his best.
Who’s the comedian who voted for O’Keeffe? Worst wing back showing over forty-five minutes we’ve seen, just about. Until the second half…
We were holding them goalless until he went off. Maybe the whole second half collapse was due to the lack of O'Keeffe
