Dkd by some distance did everything even at times got back and defended when the slugs were too slow. And his goal was class.
Humphrys was 2nd really good 1st half with the ball but orients 1st goal he should hang his head just stops tracking the runner who scores.

Gone for DKD (and purely for tactical reasons).

He's the player of the season and needs to consolidate his position at the top.

I've gone for DKD for his superb goal and for his excellent pass to Roberts for the second assist. I think Humphrys is the only other possible candidate.

I’ve gone Humpries as we fell apart when he went off. DKD a close second no one else even in remotest contention
Edit with a ps. Who voted for Flavell. His mum? By far his worst game for us

It was 3-2 when Humphrys went off we were already falling apart tbh.

Flavells had some poor games but that was something else. I was also thinking who voted Mccarthy?

    You are bizarre.

This post is true - Humphrys didnt go with the runner - but you’ve spent all season defending Jon Russell for doing exactly this nearly every game he plays. He did it on Friday - it was pointed out - and you were quick to point out Humphrys on the mdt in defence of him. Humphrys ‘crime’ on Friday you see three or four times a game from Russell. They don’t all end up as goals, but still.

I really don’t see why you feel the need to defend him as we can all see what Russell brings to the table and what he doesn’t. On the ball in advanced areas he’s a real asset. He’s a powerful runner, and has a goal in him as well as a decent eye.

Defensively he’s an absolute liability and you couldn’t trust him as a central midfielder in a two in a month of Sundays. Anyway, I digress.

As I say, you are right about Humphrys here, and I agree about DKD being motm. He’s our best player by an absolute street.

If he’s still on our books at the end of the August window I’ll be delighted and surprised in equal measure.

What are you on about you sausage. You were the one on the mdt saying it was Russell's man and his fault we conceded. when infact if you've ever played football you'll know it was definitely stephen Humphrys man and he just stops moving instead of following the man who scores.

This thread is called player of the match as I've stated that is the reason I haven't voted stephen Humphrys. The only 2 players who were worth a vote from orient were dkd and Humphrys. But because he stops tracking his man we conceded so I went with dkd. Is that okay with you?

I stick up for russell as i think he gets harshly critisised by many. Russell wasn't great Saturday he was no worse than Phillips and connell had his moments letting a header bounce and almost costing us saved by the post and the putting simple 5 yard passes out of play.

No I wasn’t. Sorry that doesn’t suit your agenda - but I didn’t. I replied to someone else who had mentioned him leaving a runner - and the reply was only to one person of several.

I didn’t say it was his man who scored or even initially bring Russell up at all. Sorry to piss on your chips.

I agreed with you on both of these points. Is reading what is actually written a challenge for you?

Stick up for whoever you like. I’ve not said one word against Russell that I think harsh or unjust.

I’m not one of those who won’t have anything he does that sit and whinge in the stands. There’s plenty of them.

But I still think he’s an absolute liability out of possession, and a luxury we can’t afford at the moment. He provides moments on the ball, but he needs someone to do his running and tracking. We just aren’t good enough to carry passengers currently.

If he made the same mistake as connell 1st half where he let's the ball bounce and gets saved by the post you would be telling us all about it. Like I russell was no worse then connell or Phillips Friday defensively.
