Nice team performance against moderate opposition. Difficult to single a particular player out but because I’ve had a go or two at him in the past and he was for the most part good today going for MDG.
I gone for MDG too, not convinced he’s real deal yet but played well today. Special mention too for O’Keeffe, he’s another that gets loads of stick, but 2 very good assists last 2 games and he’s playing well for me.
Agree with your assessment and selection. A great team performance - don't think anyone particularly had a bad game - and I thought Mael had a particularly good game.
Mael was exceptional today, both defensively and going forward. That charging run through the middle took out about 6 players! Got a couple of last ditch clearances out and overall very composed on the ball and stood tall. Fantastic performance. Dont think anyone was poor though. Other than Gent who I thought was a little poor but not on for long so probably didn't have time to get into the game. Excellent performance, especially second half yet again. Coyr
MDG still maintaining he’s been best player this season, offset by a few horror shows which have been of late.
I’m a fan of both, but I know I’m in a minority. And today it was between Corey and Maël. Voted for the former, but either deserved it.
I've gone with MDG for his impressive performance. However, in my opinion, every one of the starting XI played well.
A complete away performance, five or ten mins of slackness aside. I have to concur the right hand side of our defence seems to have got a bit of an accord going at the mo, I’d say the pick of a side with no poor performers (of those who started) was one of those two. I’ve been very critical of O’Keeffe in the past, in particular his penchant for coming inside and never on the outside. He has started going on the outside on occasion, become more creative off the back of it, and today was a very good wing back performance so he edges it from Mael - just.
A number of players upped their game today. But I went for one who doesn't normally get the praise (it could have been Mael too, who I've also been critical of) but I felt for his contribution, and especially as I wasn't happy with cotter being pushed onto the left (who was equally as decent) I felt O'Keeffe to me had one of his best games for us. And he wound their crowd up to boot. As a bonus Well played lad
