    Many years ago I organised a charity football match at Darfield for the church bell restoration fund. I asked BFC if they'd send a team to play us.
    We played on the old Foulstone school field opposite the Longbow pub, hundreds of people turned up to watch so it was a success.
    I played for the bellringers.
    Trouble is I don't remember who played for Barnsley or even who the manager was who turned up ... I think it was the late 70s, not sure.
    If you could look back you'd probably recognise the names but I simply don't remember now.

    Got to know Peter Price after he retired from football and played against him a couple of times in friendly matches. Lovely bloke. Came across former players in my refereeing days such as, Winston Campbell, Roy Cole, Gordon. Owen. Also got know Scott Jones at his Boxercise classes
