I think it's time that we and I chill a bit with the banter/abuse/piss taking.....etc! It's like a cyber version of Jeremy Kyle at times!!! Let's all have a nice weekend and hope for 3 points....... Battle will recommended after the QPR game....:biggrin::tongue:
It's got ridiculous JC. I just can't be ar$ed with this place anymore. Bitching, personal abuse, trolling, point scoring & school bully behaviour seem to have become the norm. All over a game of fcukin football Admin are starting to quit and we're losing solid members like Mr.C because of it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
surely its easier to be nice and polite with fellow fans rather than be nasty . and better to be positive than negative in all ways and not just in supporting our club
Is there any chance that we can extend that truce for the rest of our lives? These last few months on this board have been bloody 'orrible. Can we also extend the truce to the players, manager and board of Barnsley FC? The club we're supposed to support. That's not to say you've got to rate every player we've got, or agree with every decision the board or the manager make, this forum is for discussion, constructive criticism is welcomed, but the sole reason some people use this BBS is to slag off players/managers/board members. It's not for that.
Agreed. Calgary tyke asked to have her account deleted also. I first came on years ago for transfer gossip. I soon found that the Bbs was a good place for banter, and was a place full of humour. Ive also made some very good friends on here. But something changed and this place has been taken over by sniping, proving points, and people being contrary just to get a rise out of someone. I dread to think what the atmosphere will be like when the inevitable happens.
That was the reason I first joined, too. I'd never heard of the site, until I read an article in the Barnsley Chronicle about the BBS (as was) raising monies for Geoff Thomas' charity.
I first joined when I was younger on the old site. I dropped on by accident, trying to get to the official site.
I joined in January 2004. Due to working shifts, I could enjoy both the daytime posters and the evening ones. Totally different folk, totally different styles of posting, both extremely funny and enjoyable.
If I continue to see players that are not performing to the required standard then I will continue to criticise them.
As is your right. TBH if everyone agreed then there would not be a board to speak of. You need the differeces of opinions to keep it going. It's when it gets personal that is when problems occur. BTW we are going to play out of our skins today and set up the Greatest Escape Ever. And Big Lil mind and get that ticket mate.
there is however a difference between saying "thrung" had a bad game today and see that "thrung" he's wnak I hope he gets a disease and all his family are killed in a hovercraft accident, and that is sadly what some of the trolls that have infested this once fun sight are doing, that's why a lot of people stop using it, I think I said something like this last year
Well said Jedi, its just a competition for who can go more OTT than the rest. These folk tend to attract all the traffic and a few sensible post get lost in the confrontational posts. Can be so easy to get drawn in to it though when little else is on offer.
pretty sure it's connected to how we're doing on the pitch. the final 3 months of last season were brilliant, as was the ramp up to this season. then the wheels fell off. i personally can't wait for this season to be over with. and reflecting on this season, i've realised i'd rather compete in League 1 and be among the top 6, than sit watching us in a relegation battle, year in year out. peace & love
