I meant a weekly poll. Winner gets 5 points 2nd place gets 3 3rd place gets 1. End of season winner with most points.
Voted Thiam. Dougall will probably win the poll and he was excellent but I’ve gone for thiam, not just for the goals, but because his willingness to run at players, go outside and inside to beat them, and his much improved workrate for me deserves recognition. Voted for thiam on the app at the match too. No arguments with Dougall if he wins it - I suspect he’ll win many more. As I said on the thread I started he will be player of the year I reckon. Just to point out the slight flaw though, would the winner of the most m.o.m awards on here necessarily be our player of the year? A player could have a few less of those than a headline grabber - but be in the top few every single week. Someone who is always 7.5 to 8 our of ten and doesn’t let you down. Would it not be better to have a proper poll for player of the season starting next April or something rather than add up man of the match awards?
1. Dougall - Consistent from start to finish, set the tempo 2. Thiam - Scored two great goals and will build his confidence - Tired mid second half 3. Mowatt - Did the simple things righting worked harder than I've seen before 4. Potts - Great goal and grew into the game. Gave ball away a bit too much early in the game
Thiam for his goals. Dougall looks like we hopefully have finally replaced Scowen. Potts for his all round game including a goal and assist.
Thiam for me took his goals really well terrified their full back 1st half teed Bradshaw up for a great chance. Amazing what a pre season been fully fit and some confidence can do for a player. Great to see what the it meant to him big celebrations and a grin the size of the ponty when he came off. Dougall 2nd place and Potts 3rd I also thought both center backs lindsay and pinnock had good games.
