Just wanted to congratulate the boys on a good effort today- quiet for 20 minutes but got into the game when Simon and Bagpuss linked up to put me in for the opener. 1-0 at halftime but fell 2-1 down before Bagpuss got a well-deserved equaliser.

Well done boys, good effort. (clap)

Well done to EVERYONE today (except me, three months of not kicking a football showed! ff) , a good performance against a nice set of lads from Preston.

Night out round tarn with John! Having said that, his partner in crime looked even worse (I offered to get drinks twice and only Wayne took me up on the offer!)!!!!!

He did well mate, no complaints from me at all, couldn't do anything with either goal and made a couple of excellent saves.

He did say he felt he didn't let the side down, although he did leave half a pint in the OP before we set off down to the ground!

 

James did well

Good on him for going in net.

If he was a keeper I'd say he shouldn't of let their second one in at his near post (got his angles wrong).

But he's not, and he made a couple of smart saves, as well taking a few crosses well.

Nice Colgan esque run all the way to the touch line chasing their striker.

Well done Allen for sorting out the match. I think everyone enjoyed it. They Preston lands were a great bunch. Just the right level of competitiveness (?).

I think it took us all 20 minutes to get going properly yesterday. The pitch was a bit bigger then the normal one (but the surface was excellent). My legs are really stiff this morning though!

my calfs where really aching all last night! it was a really good game with some decent lads. they had the more chances but 2-2 was deserved from the work we put in i reckon.

A decent first game of the season, with some good performances.
Team spirit was excellent on both sides and I thought a Draw was a fair result.

Yeah Bagpuss was excellent..

Great cross for my goal and a great goal himself. It was a very enjoyable game and I'm just glad I've managed to score Saturday and Sunday this week, makes a change!

Not my best game by a long way and the hand ball for their second really p'd me off....but the ref had no chance of seeing it.

Thought everyone did great, Bagpuss and Ed worked some nice stuff, Jonno got well stuck in but highlight for me was the tackle Steve put in in the box, slid in took the ball then just stood up and calm as anything played a neat pass forward...quality.

Injury update...my big toe is well done in....turning a nasty shade of black !!

Good goal by Rob, I missed the second though.

Once you made the substitutions the team started playing well, to start the midfield was too deep in turn the strikers were getting sweet FA.

Good effort though, well done lads.
