Any chance anyone can call radio Sheffield tomorrow and shove these figures right up Brian the knobheads arse. I swear it that bell keeps coming on going on about crowds and belittling us I'm going to hunt him down and hang him from a lamppost.
Great support from us as always. Defeat was nailed on really whenever we take good numbers players never turn up.
The 10th best away support is 808? Really poor showing from all those championship clubs not on the list. Our away numbers never cease to amaze.
Bradford to Rochdale is only about 10 miles further than Barnsley to Donny but probably a quicker journey for them. Thought they would have taken more.
We're only behind dem blades in our division, a so-called huge, city club. The two behind us are Bradford and Coventry, arguably bigger clubs (I said arguably) and again, big city clubs. To take over a third of our home support anywhere, in this division, sat mid table, it's summat to applaud. We're a great club with a great supporter base. If only we could get on a roll and achieve summat, the potential is much bigger than a lot of folk will have you believe.
I think all 2000 of them tried to get in my train carriage when it stopped at Rochdale on the way home from work yesterday.
I'm sure most are aware. It doesn't help us turn the tide though. A big following can't affect results or performances.
What does? Explain how a big following means we should be higher? You sound like a deedar. You're not the only one who wants us to do well but get a grasp on reality mate.
I'm not on about the away following. I just think we've had drudgery for so long that people have now come to see our lower status as the norm and that we should accept this. Not for me. The club could be so much more than what it currently is.
The club appears to be happy to plod on in League one mediocrity and is cutting its cloth accordingly
I suppose the difference is that you've seen the really bad times Kev so you can look at it more philosophically. At the same time you were there for the Clarke and Hunter years and you've seen first hand the potential we have and that the town gets behind the club when there is something to celebrate.
