The team from tonight won't be playing against Columbia, so let's not be writing us off on the basis of tonight.
You know fitzy the team that plays against Columbia will not be much better than than the team that played tonight, I think the team that played tonight would have beaten our last 2 oponants, Belgium tonight rested 3 players Lakaku, Hazard and DeBruyne that could get any team at this tournament including Brazil, and still looked comfortable, saying that I still think we will beat Columbia, best Teams I've seen are Brazil and Croatia. Come on England.
I disagree mate. Our strength has partly been our set pieces. Tonight we had Alexander Arnold taking them and he never beat the first man. We also had a golden boot contender sitting on the bench in Harry Kane. You might be right about tonights line up being good enough to beat Tunisia and Panama, but would they have been 5 - 0 up at half time, mostly from set pieces? Not with tonights deliveries. Also let's not forget tonights opponents are ranked 3 in the world. Columbia will be tough, but winnable.
We've done what we needed to do mate. The real business starts next Tuesday with first choice players well rested.
Absolutely. It looks like we have a more difficult game in the round of 16 but if we beat Columbia we have what looks like an easier quarter final. I honestly think our first XI can beat Columbia.
What I learned was that the Belgium second 11 are better than our 11 and our No 22 from Liverpool I think, should attend corner taking school.. He should be embarrassed.
