Also, you can't make the defensive mistakes we have and not expect a Premier League to take advantage. Good to see Drinkwater back and Vaz Te is simply on fire at the moment.
yep we were, no shame, they are a good side and we havn't been overwhelmed some good performances some bad on our part.but nothing to worry me. hills making us a decent team and in a season or 2 if he's given time and not gone to another team i'm optimistic things are looking rosy at the well.
Me too I think individual mistakes cost us dearly today, along with first class finishing on their part. I'm still optimistic about the team & club.
Re: Me too Apart from a 10-15 minute period when we scored our second, we were outplayed all afternoon and the scoreline flattered us.
its frustrating being a football fan. especially as you say individual mistakes cost us plus their clinical finishing. but its the long haul that prevails and as long as we remain optimistic (things can only get better) feel a song coming on, i'm trying to fight it
You can be as negative as you like You have hardly posted anything positive about our club since returning to the site and that is your right. However, I believe we have an excellent manager, play attractive football on the whole and have a group of players who, for the vast majority of the time, give 100% from the first minute to the last. I appreciate that all our problems cannot be solved overnight and am patient enough not to expect them to be. We might not be winning every match, but it is my opinion we're making steady progress. By all means continue with your negativity if you so wish, as I will continue with my optimistic 'happy clapping'.
i wouldn't say it was easy for them but it turned out comfortable in the end. but it could have been so different if we'd played as we can.but there were still plenty of positives from the game.
I Agree Can't understand the negativity. We're doing OK and it's a pleasure to watch at times. Defence is looking less than solid recently though. Pity we can't play L***s every week.
Re: I Agree yep simple as that, would have been nice to see what happened if we got to half time at 1-0 but they were much better than us, great pressing, fast movement, passing and finishing. That is what we have to work towards but if we consistently play as we did today we will be fine in our division. Can't understand why anyone would take anything really negative from today's game, never nice to get beaten but really nothing to worry about. Up the Reds! Oh and Sir Bobby had a nightmare but he was facing premiership pace and quality. Still better than Wiseman at full back.
