    No, PNE were in league 2 when he played for them 93-94 or so, helped get them to the play offs then wasnt allowed to play for them in them, lost 4-2 to Cheltenham at Wembley

    did he not play against us in the league then, prem season?

    edit: no he didn't according to soccerbase. Played when they battered us at their place but didn't to the return fixture being at the end of the season they played a weakened team I think

    FA CUP GAME; Never forget when he ran over to ref from 50 yds away when one of his team mates was laid on ground having been fouled. Never heard as much foul and abusive language come from a professional footballer in my life. Ref never said anything to him about it. Beckham tried to influence the ref to send Reds player off. When Beckham got no joy, that is when the tirade came out @%;"!%@(_=%&@!!

    Yep, league was already decided (Arsenal won it) by last game of season when we played them at Oakwell so they took opportunity to play some youngsters.
