For just short of 7 years now, and the buzz for the game is being slowly wiped out of me. Coming to the point now where I'm just going to say f**k it and do something different with my saterday. Im not getting Any younger, time waits for no one.can't keep waiting waiting for something to happen. I love PC but he is taking us no where and as for LJ he talks **** every week we should of won! But the fact is Lee we didn't ****ing win because your tactically inept, The fans deserve more, it's a sad state of affairs the club is in.
So many fickle fans on here , the club goes through a bad stage in its history and so many of you start throwing your toys out of your prams and start stamping your feet saying your going to stop going. Well stop going then, why you feel the need to write something on a forum like some grand abdication speech is embarrassing. So fkin dramatic it makes me laugh. Football and Barnsley FC will carry on without you, just think if all supporters stopped going when a club dropped below half way in League 1. I bet the majority of the I'm not going anymore brigade are the same lot who demanded our next manager be given time by PC , demanded 2 to 3 year plans , and demanded a Chairman who held his nerve for once. Yet as soon as we lose a few games you all start stamping your feet giving threats of stopping going , putting pressure on the owner to make another change. Its only October ffs. Looks like you've only had a season ticket while we've been in the Championship anyway, soon as we drop down a division your off. No better than a Man U fan stopping going cause they finish outside the top 4 and got David Moyes in charge. Enjoy your Saturdays shopping or moaning at Soccer Saturday on the TV when Barnsley FC dare to lose a football match,
Your not wrong and ive been supporting them going on 40 yrs. As Cross Tyke has stated BFC will still exist even if Donny and me stop going but is this really what we want? to return to the dark old days of 5 to 6 k turning up? At the moment that's were were heading
Ive been going since the mid 70s so I gave known darker times and better times it's not about that. I have never been consistently bored before. Week after week of utter boredom whether we win or lose its just the same. The football club will remain whoever stops going but seems like quite a few long term people are on the brink. For myself I enjoy away matches so much more than home ones so I will probably just start going to away games if things remain the same. Something has to give.
Well I started in the old 4th division and been through many bad patches and I honestly can't remember anything as consistently boring as this, when you are sat there thinking why the fk do I do this I could be doing..................
Poor reply to one of many fans thinking the same. You must be either a hard character or a Soft one to not see what is happening to our team week in and out. This guy will not and I repeat not get us promoted either this year or any other year. Turn the lights off when you are the last man to leave.
If that's aimed at me Im not happy clapping , it was ***** yesterday and has been ***** the vast majority of seasons I've watched BFC for too many years to remember.
Sorry to say but people who think this way just don't bother going Not right on a forum they might do You will be there just like the rest of us Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cross tyke i dont know how old you are or how long you have been attending at oakwell, i myself have been going down to oakwell for well over 50 years im 58 my parents / grandparents started taking me when i was almost two years of age. So you could say oakwell and barnsley football club runs through my veins. Apart from the years when i lived abroad i did my best to attend and always looked may i add forward to attending the games, when i could be that at home or away, whilst living in Portugal i along with potty were responsible for the creation of the Barnsley Foreign Legion, although im the first to admit, it was Dave Arnold who i give all the credit to for driving it forward like he did and now Tina and the rest of the folk who have continued to run it. That said theres more out there who can stake claim to when they are cut, they bleed Barnsley football club. Many out there no matter what stage in their journey they find themselves in whilst supporting the team, consider that they have a right and a duty to question the leadership and direction that our club is being steered. Patrick Cryne says as much, whilst hes the owner in reality he considers himself the gaurdian of a tradition that goes back to our start up. so its with that in mind that everyone who supports the club is allowed to voice their concerns. Yes we have drama queens on here with some of the posts and its usually the same crew ( many may think im one with my posts, ive been critical of late ) But that dosent distract that this place is a collective outlet to vent both anger and on many occassions the frustrations that folk feel. Without the expressions and abstract comments of many that are posted on here, this place would become sterile and boring, just like the excuse for a style of football that LJ is trying to convert us to. In theory a slick passing game that is pleasant to the eye that produces excitement and goals galore, Oh how we would love to see that week in week out , id be one of the first in the line to put my name on the dotted line It sounds so good and Yes you have to start somewhere to build this, you also have to have the ability and the talent to carry that plan out.....build the dream and they will come.....i get it unfortunately in reality in the real world you also have to a) entertain b) create excitement and c) win matches non of which LJ is doing at the moment Surely theres no one at oakwell in out of all the powers to be that cant see where the problem lies but then again it wouldnt surprise me if they didnt after all , when you get statements , like ......no one new just how good he was, yet thousands on the terrace did when it came down to John Stones and his potential just like the situation we are in now, once again the club are turning a blind eye to the situation and are once again in my opinion sticking their heads in the sand Hoping the problem resolves its self and goes away. The same mentality that over the years have seen mistake after mistake been made both on and off the field, problems that we as a club never learn from just stumbling along relying on us the supporters to accept and put it down to how it is Look around the ground and ask why seats are empty , some will say its down to costs and folk having more choices at hand these days for me its a case that the majority have come to the conclusion that the owners and boards over the years say one thing and mean another and thus suck out of you all the goodwill and expectation and hope so is there any wonder folk make dramtic statements on here, they are crying out to be heard......once again something Barnsley FC should heed after all todays disgruntled voice is another step in the direction of a empty seat and another nail in the demise of our club.
