I haven't been on for ages, but just had to ring tonight. once again interrupted and not allowed to fully finish my point. F'ck the dee darr b'steds
What did you say/were you trying to say mate? PS I don't think I've ever heard a Barnsley fan not get cut off.
oh they cut me off alright.. mentioned that is there any wonder Reds fans are upset when comments from Sam Ellis earlier this week & their chairman tonight seem to think that what Morgan did was in 'realms of football' I mentioned how a really big club Man City wasted no time at all with Ben Thatcher. If they think that I, along with many Reds fans, will accept that Morgan's assault on Hume was any other than intentional.
Tonights program rely peed me off.I think they took S.D's comments regarding Hume and Tevez being no different totally out of context. As for Kevin Mcabe saying in all sports you're going to get injurys well words fail me.
As a message board we really need to be getting this message over to BBC Radio Sheffield This radio station.........'A BBC' radio station is getting away with saying that "in no way should Chris Morgan be taken to court" and there only seems to be me that looks like they are botherd. Everybody on here should be ringing in and giving BBC Radio Sheffield HELL !!! They cannot come down on one side of an argument in a potential courrt case If they do, what's next ? a character reference for Morgan read out in court from the official voice of the BBC ?
This is it.. I was desperately trying to make these points, but was constantly interrupted and cut off.
RE: have you made an official complaint to the bbc..........YES I've emailed them but not yet received anything I would like all others on here to complain to the BBC about this scandalous reporting. BBC reporters cannot say what they did say knowing there was likely to be a court case For example..........."there was no intent by Chris Morgan" What they are actually saying here is this.........."I know Barnsley FC and Ian Hume are likely to take this to court but in our (BBCs) opinion we dont give a foook about Barnsley or any of their players"
On what dates were the specific comments made I know you could probably state every day since but can you remember which presenter made the comments an on which show (presumably football heaven) and the dates?
who did you email? I mean have you complained using the official complaints procedure that Spartacus has linked to.
Plagiarised, edited and submitted to BBC complaints...waste of effort mindsthi I wish to make a complaint with regard to how BBC Radio Sheffield sport presenters, particularly Andy Giddings, have handled the Chris Morgan / Iain Hume incident. Giddings has in tonight's `episode` allowed Sheffield Utd fans (plus Kevin McCabe) to come on the show and basically say what they liked - without any sort of interruption or cross interrogation. The presenter (Andy Giddings) also made HIS own opinions clear in support of Sheffield United on several occasions. Anyone trying to make a case in favour of Barnsley FC or Iain Hume was continually interrupted or (in the case of the "neutral" caller from Manchester) - cut off completely before he finished making his point. This is not just this evening but on almost every other edition of the show since the incident occurred. The presenters, with the possible exception of Paul Walker who has been a little more impartial, have continually used the show to play down the seriousness of Iain Hume's injury and to give air time preferentially to anyone with a view supporting Sheffield Utd / Chris Morgan. I was under the impression that BBC Radio Sheffield or the BBC in general ought to be impartial in these matters and to be providing radio coverage to the whole of South Yorkshire but clearly that is not the case. I have found the stations sports coverage to continually favour the Sheffield clubs at the expense of every other football team in the area and this latest episode is the just the latest manifestation of the obvious bias shown by the station. I am at the end of my tether
The main dates to listen to are.......the 10th and 12th November.......... ...........and while listening........... just remember that the announcement by Barnsley FC that they were looking to take legal action was released BEFORE the comments on these BBC radio shows
