REDS COULD FACE BIG GUNS

ANOTHER tough clash awaits the Reds ahead of the Carling Cup draw this coming Saturday.

The draw for Round Two of the Carling Cup will take place live on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday at approximately 12:10pm on August 27.

There will be no north/south split but clubs will still be seeded on the basis of last season's league placings.

Round Two sees 12 Premiership clubs join the competition - Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Charlton Athletic, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, Fulham, Portsmouth, West Bromwich Albion, Sunderland, West Ham United and Wigan Athletic.

I wonder what the odds of Manchester City vs. Barnsley in the 2nd round are?

 

Knowing our luck - it'll be someone like Scunny away!

So.... no money to be made from the tie, and everything to lose on the pitch!

A juicy home tie against a Premiership side would be nice though.

Don't like the idea of any player just getting into the team and then getting injured.
