To my shame that's the first time I've been but I'll be a regular face in future. The play was Sparkies, about a young lad taking up an electrician's apprenticeship at a pit in '66. Thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a great little theatre, a bit quaint really, and deserves the support of the town.
I've seen quite a few productions there somewhat surprisingly considering where I live. I think its an excellent place and never seen a bad show there yet
Only been once And that was in the opening week when they did The Crucible by Arthur Miller. It was excellent, just never been owt on I fancied when I could go
RE: He was excellent. He was in the Chron on friday, bin signed up for a youth sumat or other in London. Only thing is.... He supports Sheff UTD ff
Went once last year to see Toby Foster. Wife and relatives have been many times to see alsorts of stuff.
If you ever get chance to see a play called "Bouncers" there, don't miss it.

I saw the Hull Truck Theatre Company do Bouncers at Wakey. Brilliant. I noticed the last time it was at the lamproom but forgot to go. Won't miss it next time.
