DANNY LEAVES

Milton Keynes Dons Football Club has today announced that after lengthy and amicable discussions with Danny Wilson it has been agreed that the club will start next season with a new manager at the helm.

Danny was appointed in December 2004, and saved the club from relegation last season, but despite the side's recent run of good performances was unable to repeat the feat this year.

Confirming the news, MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman said: "I am deeply disappointed that we have reached this position. We may have taken a step backwards in the past few days, but our ambition is still to secure the highest level of football possible for our fantastic supporters and the great and thriving new City of Milton Keynes.

"In just over a year's time our club will be moving into our new stadium, one of the finest in the country, and we remain fully committed to bringing in the most talented, determined and enthusiastic people to every area of the club.

"I'd like to thank Danny for all his efforts during his time with the Milton Keynes Dons, and wish him all the very best in his future career."
