Whilst we are on the subject of catering did anyone else notice the massive shot in the foot that the club managed to pull off at the end of last season.

Previously lager and bitter had been £2.50 per pint. Nice round number, you bought two pints you paid a fiver.

Stupidly they put the prices up to £2.60 per pint. Nobody had the right change, the ladies behind the till spent more time getting change for people than serving beer. Result Higher prices, pissed off punters, lower turnover of beer and reduced profits. Another case of not thinking before acting.

    Never suprised by Greed

Continuously amazed by stupidy. (however I do find myself in a constantly amazed state, maybe I should get used to it.)

I mean, why make a little money when you can make a lot.

Why make it hard when you can make it easy.

Putting the price up to £3 I could have understood, and I would have been shocked.

Actually reducing through put and profit by having an awkward price point is frankly Darwin award stuff.

I'm not sure any thought goes in to the pricing policy at Oakwell

The most ridiculous example is that it is cheaper for an adult and child season ticket in the ponty end than it is in the family stand. What the hell is the family stand for then?

They can't work out VAT either

A product offered at £400 actually came to £400 and a penny 'cos they f*cked up the VAT. And the invoice was dated 1994/1995 for this year.

Does all the email go to one person, who prints it off then passes to the relevant person. Who loses the piece of paper, and doesnt reply?
