My greatest memories of going to Oakwell when I was a kid was Fanfare for the common man. I think I heard it before the Everton game but not on Saturday. I think we need it back.
I wish we would steal Coventry's music from last season at Sixfields. For a few minutes leading up to the teams coming they played an instrumental mix of Led Zeppelin's Kashmir and it was BRILLIANT. Would love to see us adopt that. Proper foot stomper https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_VMqKG-liQ
It sort of crept up on you, starting fairly quietly and building up into a big crescendo just as the teams were coming out. I was standing there taking in the early-season scene , full of optimism, unable to keep my feet still, ready to welcome our new boys such as Conor Hourihane and Leroy Lita. They both scored. Decent evening away trip, great music before the match. Big away following and no hint of any trouble.
fool on the hill (keith) or more appropriately send in the clowns (would have been ok for the last few years) hth
In the 70's they used to play "Rock Me Gently" by George Mccrea,I swear that was the only record they played at Oakwell or so it seemed at the time.
Yes, this tune was our entrance music for a few years back in the early 90's. I think there was something else in between this and the current crap we have but not certain what it was.
