Must be things going on that we don't know about surely? Can't understand why the team remains the same when we have genuine options. I don't believe Wilson ain't his own man but it seems like something's being passed regarding some of the lads from hill to flitcroft to Mellon to Danny. Seems like a decent bloke but for me Mellon must go. I do have a nagging doubt though that Danny is only here till may then it's back to Mellon.
The fact that he is operating with flitcrofts team and hasn't brought anyone with him, is a tad concerning.
I have that same feeling sadly, won't do Wilson's CV any good though if we carry on losing and go down with **** all points. I'm praying theres more premiership loanees on their way into the club like ready Brek over the next couple of weeks :nails:
I'd get shut of all coaching staff relating to Flickers reign.......but have we got the money to do so? DW needs his own staff and his own players......at the moment, he has neither......he just has a pile of sh!te to deal with.
wilson is on a win-win deal. it's mansford's rep that's on the line here. relegation in his first ever season as a CEO, would be a disaster for him. bear in mind, the don got years of abuse, but kept us up for so long.
Looking at it pessimistically, Wilson was out of work and would probably have taken any job on any terms (he did actually say so regarding the terms bit), so maybe he knew he was walking into a job with his arms tied behind his back. We must have made a decent profit last season from the cup run and players sales. The in the Summer we didn't lose anybody we wanted to keep (got to be the first time in a long time that's happened), so it's fair to say some of the contract negotiations will have been Ridsdale-esqe (when he was at Leeds), added to that the duds that were brought in to make us stronger, means we probably have naff all to spend and Cryne's pockets surely aren't deep enough to resolve this mess. I suppose we can hope for an outbreak of war that causes the season to be nullified.
The Don could see what was coming thats why! i liken it to Blair handing over to Brown on the sinking Labour ship, made Brown the scapegoat. Lets not forget the one who can do no wrong here, Patrick Cryne. He saved us which Barnsley will be forever in his debt for but has been decidedly poor at trying to sell the club whilst at this level from where the supporters are standing if he is, as to be believed, skint and/or not willing to put any further funding in. It was Patrick who employed these general managers after all wasn't it?
