Almost at the end of his first season and to be honest I've seen bugger all improvement in our off the field activities. How would people judge his performance so far?
Got to wait and see what happens with our first saleable asset, and what happens once the current deals with just sport and ck becket finish
If I'm honest I don't think you can judge him on this season as everything was already in place from the old regime. Next year we should see a difference tho
I'm happy to give him time he said straight away we wouldn't see much this season as most things were in place interested to see the season ticket offers and benefits we will get for make the commitment. Gut feeling if IF we stay up ST prices will go up and stay same if we go down.
I think as soon as season has finished we'll be getting new scoreboard any then we can judge him. If we can get a sponsor like Nike or Adidas something known and make good shirts, then thats we can judge him
To be fair all people on here used to drone on about was getting better food in ponty and some ale and as there hasn't been a thread slating that lately I can see one thing he's done.
To be honest he did get involved early on and I think he is better than the Don. We may not have been in our present position if he had been here couple of years ago
Once he's in a position to bring in his own ideas for a variety of off the field initiatives capable of increasing revenue streams, then that would (for me) be a fairer and more objective occasion to make a reasoned assessment. Another helpful aspect would be if these initiatives of Ben Mansford were allowed the time for assessment as to whether they were bearing fruit, both long & short term, with regards to their specified targets . At the moment he's having to implement the contractual obligations of the club signed up before he started the job.
Too early to judge him. He comes across as a decent fella though and more approachable and modern thinking than Don was. I just hope..... 1) Bird **** on seats is sorted. 2) Scoreboard is sorted. 3) TVs in concourses are switched on. 4) We try and get out of our contract with Lindleys. 5) We get back control of our own club shop. 6) ST prices are released shortly. The excuse in past seasons of not knowing what league we are in is ******** because there is nothing to stop us releasing a price for both leagues.
