Ben is a superb ambassador for the club, and a shrewd and intelligent spokesman. He doesn't deserve to be associated with our demise last season, and I hope he is with us to guide us (off-field) to better things. At the risk of being branded an eternal optimist (and I haven't always been accused of that on here) I think we are on the verge of potentially exciting times.

^^ More than agree with this. For the first time in a long time we seem to have some sort of framework to move forward with. That doesn't always guarantee success on the pitch but it goes a long way to helping it. Hopefully Johnson will be around for a while.

too many false dawns in recent years, for me to get sucked in again. likely reality is, if we're not top 6 at christmas, LJ will be out and more than a fair few will be questioning ben's position at the club..

We've been here before. Optimism etc. but like you I really feel this could be a good year. We've got the cash drains off the bill. Think we'd all have traded one Martin Crainie for a few Conor Hourihanes, Josh Scowens and Sammy Winnalls. That's how much of a drain his nearly £10k a week wage is to us.

Really feel we are on the verge of something.
