Whilst in the Wilson in camp. I did feel his midfield selection worried me before ko. Whilst Pearson was missing I would have thought the new kid was straight in.

It's our lack of bite in midfield that has done us mostly this season

I've said it before but I'll say it again; we are missing Dawson.

We missed Pearson , as none of our midfield wanted to tackle today

He selected the midfield which has been very lightweight for the last few months, with the addition of Kiwomya and Lalkovic who were never going to add any steel to it. The puzzling thing is that we've brought the lad Scowen in, who by all accounts is a similar sort of player to Pearson, then leave him on the bench. We have been crying out for that bit of bite in midfield, we get a player who's capable of it, then don't play him. He's been playing regularly for Wycombe so he's fit at least.

I'm a backer of Danny's but he got it wrong from the start in recalling Berry in my opinion, and I'm a big fan of Berry's too.

Its Perkins that we are missing, he made more tackles in one game than our entire midfield has made all season.

I agree. Like has been said elsewhere. I can't defend all his selections and decisions but will defend him to remain in the hotseat

There is certainly no one to do the fetching and carrying in mid field. How many times have we called full backs for either passing back or wacking the ball forward, because there is a big hole where the mid field man should be. This does not even include the mid fields inability to put a tackle in, win a ball and help the defence. I believe that our mid field, or lack of an effective one has cost us greatly this season.

Given the choice I'd have to take Dawson but the point stands, we're missing a player like Dawson or Perkins.

Ive always thought games are won and lost in midfield, today was disappointing.

Ben Pearson was all over the place last week, looking forward to getting him back,,, its difficult to assess strikers when they are getting no support or service.

I agree, its a bit ironic how they were seen as not good enough yet we cant sign players to replace them. I think the problem was that they were both similar and didnt compliment each other.

Bang on. I spent a lot of time defending Dawson last season, primarily because I thought he'd be perfect in this league. He left, that was his choice, but we haven't replaced him and its costing us games.

We signed scowen to be the midfield tackler , and surprised he didn't play today . They bossed the midfield and game today

I just don't get this pining for those two players. One is a headless chicken the other almost makes M'Voto look like a footballer

Dawson would have given our midfield some badly needed steel in this league.

I just don't see how. He might have s kicked s couple but I'm hopeful that this new lad might be able to actually play football. A bit like Pearson showed
