As a result of Ben Williams unfortunate ACL it is imperative we do not sell Odour to Sheff. Utd. The worst case would be if we were to sell him late in the window then be scrambling around at the eleventh hour for a replacement full/wing back.

We needed a left back all last season so it wouldn't surprise me if nobody was brought in..... Fluid.

I like Odour, but he was a fringe player for most of last season. If we get a substantial offer then he’s gone whether we like it or not. But it’s crucial we sign an adequate replacement.

Odour is probably best left wing. He learnt a lot last season too.

Leeds still retain an interest in his future I believe and also have first dibs on his re-signing should we allow to leave? Was all rumoured.

Not sure about Odour, but I like Clarke Oduor...

I'd like us to go for Harry Pickering from Crewe - the 'best of breed league below' type of player we were signing in the successful Hourihane, Scowen, Mawson recruitment period. Twenty one but with 100 games under his belt, 6 foot 1 too which would help in our team of midgets.

Failing that Cohen Bramall although Bramall is older, smaller and less experienced than Pickering.

Who actually started this rumour about Clarke going to Sheffield United? Far from the truth

I'd say we need a left footed CB rather than LB personally. We have Styles, Oduor that can play LWB plus if needed Ritzy and Thomas could play there too.

I'd rather just have players actually playing in their natural position, we know most of our players can do a job in various roles but we'l never see the best of them if it continues. If bambo isn't available then yeah I'd say we need one more cb.

Think players can play more than one position really well and with the fluid formation we play they move around a lot anyway. Styles for example is a natural cm but is currently doing superbly well in that LWB role. Not somewhere I would have thought to try him but Struber has done it and so far it's working a treat.

Most of them are only kids. Do they even have proper positions? Oduor played central midfield, left wing & left back at Leeds before coming here, I think Styles played all across the midfield for Bury. When Ritzmaier signed we were told he could play left back or wing back as well as a midfielder.

I think lots of our fans get too hung up on positions, most players, particularly young players can play all over.

Look at Fergie one of the very best. Played Phil Neville everywhere, O’Shea everywhere, Brown & Evans full back or centre back, Fletcher wide or central midfield, played Rooney as a number 10, out wide or up top etc.

I agree with what your saying and do believe that for the odd game or during a game when changing tactics etc it is good players can play different positions. Not week in week out blatantly playing players out of position. All this talk of styles been the next big thing at oakwell, could well be but we certainly won't see the best of what he can offer at LWB.

To be fair the 352 system that Struber plays the wingbacks really operate as midfielders, very rarely needed as fullbacks. It's extremely flexible with Jordan Williams (although I'm not convinced by him as a championship defender yet) who can slot in and cover as a fullback behind Styles.

When we played 352 wasn't Jordan Williams in the 3 CBs though. So you couldn't class him as a wingback in that system
