Colgan (7) - Couple of decent stops, handling pretty solid throughout. Austin (8) - Tackled well and got forward when possible. Carbon (7) - Won everything in the air and his passing was a lot better today. Reid (7) - Same as Carbon defended very well unlucky to be sent off. Williams (8) - Good performance, couple of decent attempts on goal aswell. Shuker (6) - Tried hard as ever but final ball was not good enough. McPhail (8) - Class act today, very composed on the ball. Burns (7) - Battled well and got stuck in, would like to see him shoot more though. Devaney (6) - Worked hard but nothing seemed to go right for him. Conlon (5) - Not at the races, possibly not match fit but he was pretty poor. Hayes (8) - A real livewire, always looking for a shooting chance. SUBS Kay (5) - Had no impact Jarman (6) - Got involved but had no time to change the game Tonge (6) - Didn't do anything wrong
Agree with them Heaney Except I would have given Carbon an 8 too. Very solid, won everything in the air. Also maybe Colgan deserved an 8 too. BTW, why dont you just call yourself Heaney now? Seeing as old Micky has retired.
well i've been into the settings and you can't change your user name, i can't be arsed to sign up on a different account so it looks like im stuck with it.
Oh aye never thought of that! Now you will look like a Crewe fan forever! Why not e-mail the moderators, they may be able to remove the CAFC?
****** Hayes chased everything and was doing the spadework that Conlon couldn't. He was our most likly to get a goal.
I thought that Hayes looked sharp in the first half and aware of what was going on around him, but he seemed lethargic and reluctant to run for the ball as the game wore on.
I would agree with that; probably the reason why he seemed jaded in the second half - had nothing left to give physically because he worked tirelessly in the first 45 minutes.
RE: I thought you were going to rate the Brentford Players? More or less agreed with your assessment though. A bit stingy with the rating for Carbon. He didn't miss ANYTHING this afternoon.
Yep - just before the start of this season. He was going to sign for Crewe but they couldn't guarantee him first team football so he decided to retire and concentrate on his business - property/building I think. He's 29 if I recall correctly.
Rubbish I agree Conlon was poor, but Hayes was excellent. Good first touch, good running into channels and some excellent early efforts at goal. It isn't his fault his strike partner is not upto the job at this level.
I agree Nowt wrong with Hayes today, I really like him. Great workrate, just knackered after doing Conlons share too. Hayes played excellent for the 90 today - his 45 and Conlons 45.
i agree hayes not very good, but conlon fookin hell he aint very good i,m afraid we need to farm him out somewhere before the deadline!
