    no question

One of the best ever in my opinion.

Jane Salli might have made a similar impact if it wasn't for injury. I'd have loved to have seen them 2 together.

De Zeeuw was not let go by Bassett.

He fell out with Super John and left before Bassett arrived.

  9. Ian Evans and Mick McCarthy together - what a pairing! n/t

Irritating habit of letting ball bounce in front of him...

instead of attacking the ball. We were always put under pressure cos they had momentum to jump for 2nd ball (running forward, while Arjan had a standing start). WE had enough centre halves to let him go...tho he was "retiring" to Holland, remember, till Wigan's chequebook came.

The opposite was maybe Moggs - would attack anything. UNfortunately couldn't pass for toffee.

Not really remembering McCarthy, the ideal partnership woulda been Tiler (nobody beat him in air or on floor, but couldn't pass) and Futcher..sheer class.

Thus, Futcher is best. Slow as out, sat on floor when tackling, always won the ball and ALWAYS found a man with a pass.

Tears in my eyes mate !!! One fearless the other cultured. You can work out which was which. I had the good fortune to meet Mick at a charity do, absolutly top bloke, hands like shovels and if Roy Keane wants to have a go he's one brave fker.

Don't think so mate, he left in the close season after Hendrie had been sacked after the Sunderland match. Basset wanted shut of all his foreign players which is why Georgie didn't get a fair crack of the whip.
