Best chippy in tarn has moved

    Just discovered today that Shaw's of Dodduth have moved down the hill onto Barnsley Road and taken over Roland Lowery's old place (Gate Fishery). They've completely refurbished it and it looks fantastic. Main thing is the food hasn't changed and for me its the best chippy around.

    Do agree that shaw's are great fish and chips! Haven't found an equivalent in York.. yet!

    Cant beat codfather on new lodge. + Im too scared to try Y Pass. Doesnt sound appetising!

    one on park road for me, next to petrol station. plus it's open about 16 hours a day, and one portion easily feeds two!

    Fish and chips in Leeds are terrible. I haven't found a single chippy that I like yet in 10 years and they are ridiculously over priced too. There's a good one in Bradford near my school though.
