    Just one question:

    If the ball "hits the goal" - doesn't that mean it's hit the post.
    To score - surely it's "in the goal".

    So - are you saying that Nardy is good at hitting the woodwork?

    I'm confused.

    Surely if you say a player is good at hitting the woodwork then they are good at hitting the advertising boards behind the goal as goal posts aren't made of wood.
