For saints in coca cola cup season 97/98. Can't remember if it was 3rd or 4th round. Screamer though
For Barnsley defo Howard's and Barnard's. Both special

    Ginola?

    (hidebehindsofa)

Of that selection I'd vote for Barnard but I can think of quite a few others I would put higher in the list from earlier

i made a fortune that day, think i was about 8 or 9 and went round picking coins up off the ponty end floor after the match, everyone had jumped so much when it flew in and when robo scored the winning penalty

    RE: Le Tissier

lifted it over De Zeeuw and then smashed it on the volley into net at Ponty End. Superb!

One of the best pure football goals I have seen at Oakwell was

Eaden against Blunts, the football in that build up was superb. The final ball from Thompson was pin point and it was against the Blunts as well, so that made it even better. (clap) (clap) (clap)

    Barnards Goal in context

I think Barnard's goal was a really great goal. But in it's context its impact was even more enhanced. Not only did it contribute to a magic occassion for Barnsley, but I think I am right that it was the first match that he played after rejecting a move to premier league club (Was it Southampton). So everyone was was already really appreciative of his decision to stay - then he scored a goal like that. Something legends are made of - just like missing a penalty at Wembley sadly! Still it will live in my memory

Yes, but at the Ponty end, it was a beautiful goal, both wing backs overlapping and Eaden finished it superbly. He could give the strikers here now a lesson in finishing :D
