He has played just TWO GAMES in the last FIVE SEASONS and is the third choice goalkeeper. Why do City have him in the squad? The Premier League allows teams to have 25 players named in the squad, but 8 of them must have spent at least 3 years as a youth player in an English team. In order to comply with the regulations, City have filled that slot with Carson, developed at Leeds United since he was 15 years old... In 2022, in the Champions League, against Sporting Lisbon, the veteran goalkeeper entered the field of play as a tribute and received a standing ovation from the entire crowd. That was his second game in a City shirt. He gets £30,000 a week which means his yearly salary is £1.4m a year! THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD.
