Its probably been done to death but I don't care because I love music.

    Tell me your best gig.

I saw Oasis at Bridlington Spa just before they broke up and it was mesmerising. Noel and Liam hated each other and the atmosphere and tunes were so intense.

I also saw Status Quo on their acoustic tour the other year which was brilliant - RIP Rick Parfitt.

    I'm also hammered.

Oh and buy a ticket to watch Winnie spin with Digweed cos he's one of the good guys

    We'll stay up.

    I've had a few.

    You Reds.

Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals) supported by Martin Carr (The Boo Radleys) in Dublin a couple of years ago. Seeing my favourite songwriters play together was a great moment. :)

Rolling Stones circa 1981 at Roundhay Park Leeds, they were absolutely phenomenal. I wasn’t a Stones fan and only went because all my mates were going but I’m so glad they persuaded me to go. They were considered to be an’old mans’ band back then, but wow the energy and performance was brilliant. Also saw Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band There a few years later and again it was a fantastic concert.

We were the oldest in the audience by a good stretch. The most conservatively dressed by a mile but didn't care and they absolutely blew the roof off the place. Fabulous performance.
And just to put that into context I've seen AC/DC, The Stranglers, Ramones, Thin Lizzy etc in their prime

I went to an NME tour few years ago at the Leadmill. A little-known Fat White Family were on the bill and they blew me away. Raw, raucous and electrifying. I'll never forget it.

Best gig is hard to say, but seeing Morrissey for the first time (O2 in London, 2014) was an incredible feeling personally.

Arctic Monkeys at the Leadmill when they were right on the cusp of exploding into the big time. Just a perfect moment in time in terms of atmosphere and feeling.

Also loved Pulp's final concert at Sheffield Arena in 2012.

Sound like a reyt deedar here but I promise I'm not.

Seen plenty of bands since my first gig in 2006, I was 16 at the time.

    Red Hot Chili Peppers x2
    Foo fighters
    Fleetwood Mac
    Bryan Adams
    The 1975
    Dream Theater x2
Also seen Muse, Pulp, Madness among others all at Leeds fest.

But the best gig or gigs hands down has to be Coldplay, twice in 2012 & 2016. Just brilliant in every way! Atmosphere, sound, light show, stage presence, you name it. They will take some beating for me.

Saw The Jam and Clash on consecutive Saturdays, My favourite bands even now, but Stray Cats at Leeds uni pips them both. Got talked into going, they blew the roof off.

Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band at Wembley Arena in 1980. He lifted the roof off the building and went down a storm. That was the last time he toured Europe.

Very hard choice, but REM in Manchester on their final tour were just incredible. I saw them a few times and they just kept getting better and better. Disappointed as I was when they split, maybe it was the right decision to go out when they were still at the peak of their powers.

Suede at the Sheffield Octagon when they were touring Dog Man Star were also mind-blowingly good.

    Tough one this.

oasis at Maine Road was pretty special, as was arctic monkeys at leadmill for similar reasons- home town gigs at the peak of their powers, especially Oasis on the front.

Fatboy slim at Brighton beach was also unbelievably good….oh and Daft Punk on the Alive Tour in Leeds, very fortunate to have seen that.
