He was sensational today.

JCR, Ferenczi and Macken also played very well.

I have never seen a penalty struck that hard not go in.

Togwell, Howard, Ferenczi and JCR (twice) should be herded into the car park, lined up and shot for missing the sitters we squandered today.

Excellent penalty save but the points should have been long secure by that time.

    Bit harsh on stan

Howard had a shocker barring his superb cross for stans goal.

Suspected for most of the 2nd half we would pay for missed chances but Muller saved the bacon.

Stan was terrific today, and was absolutely exhausted by that point. Understandably so - one of my favourite moments of the match was Ferenczi charging back 80 yards to deny them on the counter attack.

Today showed me how much we've missed Ferenczi, he's a presence upfront and made it very tough for them. Linked up well with Macken who was very clever and impressed me a lot.

    Agreed on both counts

In fairness to Ferenczi he shouldn't have even still been on the pitch when he fluffed that one-on-one. I thought on his first game back and with another game in 48 hours time, he'd have been withdrawn on the hour mark to make sure he's fit to start Monday.

Anyway, nice to see a bit more patience from Stan - he drifted out of the game mid second half but didn't resort to petty fouling to the same extent he sometimes does. Him and Macken looked like a strikeforce. Not bad for their first ever game together.

I think perhaps summary execution is a bit hard on JCR also, who defended doggedly on the flank and made a nuisance of himself quite well. But those shots were absolutely woeful and thank fvck Muller had a stunner to save the points.

Theres a good chance watching Togwell will send me into an early grave. He gives me stinging pains in my head.

Im still unsure about JCR. Those sat around me were all in agreement that he runs around a lot and creates very little. He ran into trouble a few times yesterday when an easy pass was on. He looked better on the odd occasion that he came infield. I still think he should be attacking the penalty area rather than the corner flag. Up to now hes proving no better than Shuker.

Put cracking crosses in yesterday for Howard and Togwell.

I agree, very frustrating when he tries taking players on rather than playing the easy ball (like when Foster overlapped and he just ran into their defender).

He does well tracking back and putting pressure on their defence but creates very little.
