Best place to buy decking

    Looking to do some decking with my mate. Area is just under 4.5metres x 3.5 metres.
    Can anyone recommend anywhere apart from Wickes etc?

    Got ours from wentworth sawmills a couple of year back. They were decent prices and quality then.

    get the timber from a timbe merchant and cut it to size pal did mine and its massive for like 400 quid with posts and spindles just have to get some cutting and planing done will save a fortune. Had a quote to supply as decking wood and was nearly 1200

    The best price i could find

    And i went everywhere, was a timber merchants on Wortley Rd in Rotherham.. And they deliver FREE.

    remember if its over 300mm high the you need planning permission

    and the Barstewards at barnsley council will give you hell if you dont.

    Why are they Barstewards?

    its a law and they have to enforce it. Only doing their job! If you had applied for permission before doing it then you would have been ok.

    not at all, i guess you must be a planning officer, and to go thorugh the whole planning process for 100mm is a complete waste of tax payers money

    2nd grade stuff from there - where i got mine and wish i hadnt

    the 6x2s looked like the wembley arch.

    Barnsley Timber merchants my fave place now - and they deliver it for free if > £100. £10 if under. They are sound.
