There was a bloke sat near me in the Ponty end with a black t-shirt on that read: EARTHQUAKE SURVIVOR Other than that, I felt today was pretty poor. However, Steele and Foster played very well - Nyatanga didn't do bad. Van Homoet was very poor. Much improved performance needed.
Steele - OK but nothing special Foster - marked Showumni for 77 minutes and tackled him 0 times. Did have our one chance of a goal though, Nyatanga - did very well indeed. Van Homoet - his best game in the shirt so far. Almost inconspicuous at times, but still a couple of awful moments. Kozluk - if there were a wooden spoon in the MotM award, he would get it. Reckless tackling, reckless in possession and reckless of Davey to send him out for the second half. Clearly wanted to get sent off and succeeded at the death. Hassell - tenacious in the tackle. Won possession countless times. Then lost it again 2 seconds later. Howard - played, apparently. Can't say I noticed. Leon - Looks skilful but never really threatened. That said, he was marked out of existence and was repeatedly played into a dead end by Kozluk. Campbell-Ryce - MotM by a country mile. Our only player who looked able to unlock the Wednesday defence. Subbed, presumably for making his teammates look ****. Macken - Stinker. Conspicuously poor since securing a permanent contract. Lumsdon and Betsy spring to mind. Nardiello - Stinker. Conspicuously poor considering he hasn't secured a permanent contract. Subs: Odejayi - Big, strong, powerful and determined. Did I mention fvcking useless? Coulson - struggled to make an impact after replacing our best player. Devaney - See Leon
