Give it a good hard stare. You'll see next to **** all other than bright light, but if you then close your eyes you'll see the shape of the moon covering the sun burnt in to your retina.

Admittedly, this may be a permanent fixture, but on the plus side, you'll have a visual reminder of the experience for the rest of your life.

It would definitely be better than the half-ar5ed two pieces of card with a hole stuck in one that I made about 9.25am. The sun looked like a piece of bitten off finger nail. Not quite the apocalyptic event I had hoped for

Non-event here in London, very disappointing.

Went slightly dull, no more than on a rainy day. If you hadn't heard of the eclipse, you wouldn't have realised it was taking place.

Got the wife to wear a pair of welding goggles. Says I look a lot better with them on as well. :)

Welding goggles, the new basque. Pwoor. :)

I was in Banbury today and at 09:20 I pulled over in Henley to witness it. The cloud cover did it's best to spoil it but it did break for long enough to sort of see it. I'm glad I didn't bother buying any eclipse goggles.
