As we were never going to score with a strike force like that. I thought Cureton was supposed to be a goal scorer? Bag of *****. If anything, Macken and Rigters were even worse. When Butterfield was brought on I thought we'd go to a traditional 4-4-2 as the system was obviously not working, but we kept with the same old ballacks. Hassell played well and I don't think Foster did owt wrong but apart from that... El Haimour certainly tries his best, but he's a conference standard player. What the hell we doing with a player like that? Southampton were *****, but they won, so what does that say about us?
Best we could have hoped for is 0-0?? (shakrhead) We can hope for whatever we bloody well want. Since when was there a tax on hope? If we set out like that against Southampton at home, we ought to pack it in for the season now.
RE: Best you can ever hope for is 0-0 if you can't score Well **** me - God has spoken, we're not even allowed to hope for a goal anymore.
Go and have a cup of tea and a sit down It's a way of describing how poor our strikers are. Get over it.
We had absolutely no shape and no width today at all. The only left sided player we have (crap as he is) was playing centre midfield when he's about 6 stone wet through and couldn't tackle his way out of a paper bag. Today was an opportunity to get ourselves clear of Southampton for good. Now we are looking at a relegation dogfight yet again. I have to admit if (or should I say when) we lose at Norwich next week I'm worried for our Championship status as Forest and Donny are well capable of pulling out of trouble. I was encouraged last week when Davey said he wants to sign two strikers but given the abilities of the ones he's signed over the past couple of years who can have any confidence that he'll get it right this time? I mean, how the fook have we ended up with Rigters on loan for a season......FFS.
what the hell was davey playing at playing out ONLY left sided player on the right of midfield? He got everything wrong today, everything he could have possibly messed up he did. And I mean Davey not El Haimour
It is unfair to say that the best we could have hoped for was 0-0. Cureton had 2 gilt edged chances. Rigters had a copper bottomed my dead grandma could have scored chance. It's taking smugness or after-the-event superiority too far to say that anyone could confidently assume that we wouldn't score. We weren't Preston bad So there.
Finally the penny's dropping with El Haimour With folk. I've been saying he's hopeless since the night we played Buxton and that he'd never make it but somehow people saw something in him.
