The one on Thornton Road here in Clayton, Bradford. You've not had a curry until you've had one from there.
There's loads of quality curry houses here, as you'd imagine. Not tried them all but that one is a beauty.
its gone now but the Islamabad at Attercliffe was ace,i'm going back to about 1985ish first time I went.White plastic tables and chairs, you used to get your own beer from the pub across the road(which was flattened for don valley stadium, which they are now, err, flattening). best curries and onion bhajis I've ever had.nan breads were as big as scateboards
We lived in Clayton Heights last year. It's still Clayton, but higher up the valley, hence the heights bit. You'll know what I mean if you've been up Queensbury. Think it's the highest place in England or summat daft. We live in Clayton village now, in the rich, affluent and OAP populated area. I fit in well.
This one is excellent. Make sure you go to the Honley one so you can have a pint of real ale in the Foresters pub that adjoins it. http://pinkelephantrestaurant.co.uk/
I used to go to one in Bradford, think it was called Kashmir, right next door to a chapel of rest. Somewhere near the ice rink IIRC. Is it still open? Best I've ever had. Really basic decor, old school tables and plastic chairs but the food was heavenly. Early 90s mind.
