Wise in talks to be Swindon boss

Wise is in negotiations with Swindon
Dennis Wise is in negotiations to become Swindon Town's new manager, reports BBC Radio Swindon.
The club are hoping to announce him as their new boss by the end of the week.

The 39-year-old former England international has mainly played in the Premiership and lists among his clubs Chelsea, Wimbledon and Coventry.

Wise's only managerial experience came at Millwall, where in 18 months in charge he lead the team to the FA Cup final against Manchester United.

It is not yet known if Wise wants to continue playing.

The move for Wise is a big turnaround for Swindon, who until very recently were insisting that Iffy Onuora would remain as manager.

If Wise agrees terms with the Robins, it is unclear if Onuora, Alan Reeves or Ian Woan would have a future at the County Ground.
