Aye, signed up a while ago. Sounds like they're skipping phase 2 (removal of ramp to multi storey car park from Kendray Street), till next February. Can't say I agree with the Augmented Reality Wrap on the TEC building. Waste of money. Just knock the bloody thing down.

Yeah I've been getting that for a while, it's very interesting sometimes...the augmented reality thing is a bit of a waste though, especially on a project where the budget has been continually slashed, I very much doubt you'll see many people using it.

Subscribed a few months ago, some interesting articles. Lighting of the Harborough Hills was a good read.

Have I read it completely wrong or is that wrap only staying till September? A building that's been an eyeore for years gets wrapped for 3 bloody months before being ripped down?
And the augmented reality is used for advertising only isn't it? Nobody at all will use it

It's an interesting gimmick, but not really necessary, maybe they'd have been better incorporating it into something more permanent.

But it isn't a gimmick that adds anything to the experience of Barnsley people. All it does is shows advertiser's logos and link to their websites. Essentially a more advance version of a QR code which nobody uses either
