    You really are a fruitcake if you think Colin wants anyone but himself to be known as the last manager to get Sheffield United to the premiership. He will try as hard to beat Palace as Mick McCarthy did to beat us.

    There is also the question of the outstanding compensation in respect of lost earnings that Warnock and other Sheff U personnel at the time of the relegation are wanting. This should really come out of Sheff U's settlement as it is money they would have had to pay out themselves if they hadn't gone down. Cynics would say that a Sheff U back in the Premier League would be better able to afford to do this.

    McCarthy didn't really try very hard to beat us though

    He was more than happy with a point and wolves never took the game to us. Also Warnock still considers himself to be part of sheffield united so would love them to go up
