The mascot guy. Is it Laurie? For the last few years I've seen people talking about how good their day was and every single one has had nothing but absolute praise for the guy. Not one single negative comment about him at all.

Proud to have him at our club

Got to agree. My grandson was mascot a couple of years ago. He's a quiet lad, but Lawrie was brilliant with him.

Great bloke, and perfect for the job he does

Laurie was brilliant with Laura when she was a mascot ten years ago. He's a thoroughly decent bloke and a true gentleman.

Not sure if someone has posted this already and this is why you mention it but Ray got this email today from one of the Bradford lads Dad's (The one's who stick is so many of our minds involved in the walk and that "Never Forget" Photo). Ray (Bondy) arranged for them to come into Redfearn's before the game. The club arranged for tickets for them and their Dad's and they did the ground tour and walked out with the team etc. He got this today:
    Hi Ray,

Just wanted to thankyou again for what everybody did for us on Saturday. We were made to feel very welcome by everybody. The lads also got to go up the tunnel, meet the players and then walk them out, They had the best day ever. Very proud moment watching my boy walking them out so im very grateful for that.

The guy that was looking after them pitch side was brilliant too. He really looked after them, he got them to walk the team out and was in the line up, they also had there pictures taken on the pitch and the guy said he was going to try get me a copy? Its not a problem if he cant, you all did enough.

Normally the win would have made it better but I will settle for the draw as Barnsley looked after us so well. Thankyou again Ray and good luck to all at Barnsley for the rest of the season.

    Phil

We should get rid and get someone in on loan to replace him.
