Recent performances have been fantastic, but the TV highlights just haven't shown that at all!!! Good examples are the first halves at Southampton and Charlton where welookedpremiership class - e.g. silky smooth distribution from Muller thru midfield to our strikers, turning defence to attack within a few seconds. At the weekend, Howard's ball from the left hand edge of our area to Mostto way across the park into Charlton's half was also amazing, although much more direct and not really what I was getting at ... but it never got shown!!
It's completely chalk & cheese compared to the opener vs. Coventry, and if we continue to improve like thisthen it'll be utter magic on display come 22nd Oct and 5th Nov!!!!! (dancin) It's obvious that the time in training is being put to good use cos the exchanges across midfield are so rapid and there's been relatively little hoofing from back to front in recent games.
I'm confident that our attendances will shoot up in November after eyes are opened to this new breed of football - to date, there have just been a few hints re: 'Barnsley are playing attractive football' [Beagrie etc.] but it's hard to grasp if you don't see a full game yourself.
PS The fitness training has probably helped as well - e.g. cos Souza cramped up against Coventry and he'd not had much time with the squad at that stage.

Is It Too Much........... to expect seven points from Burnley, Hull and Leicester (raiseaglass) (seestars) (dunno)
RE: Why not 9? I was thinking of two wins, with a draw at Hull in between. However we have a good record on Sky (something for Paul D to look into) and so maybe, just maybe we will get nine.
RE: Why not 9? I would definitely take 7, even 6, maybe even 5. As long as week keep looking solid and play well.
RE: Why not 9? Would you take eight points I've not seen us win away from home this season and so maybe I should stay away. Not seen a defeat either though.
Hi DB, I was thinking more about the entertaining footie and not the actual results and points tally - feelings were summed up by a fellow fan on Saturday after we went 1 down ... 'not so bothered about that cos we've been great today'. Also heard 'dunt it make a change to see us playing football!?'. I'm sure we'll get more of these feelings when it's clear we won't be fighting against relegation next April & it's just like watchin Brazil on TV, Blubs
